146WebDesign was formed from the web design division of www.f4f.com.

With over 36 years combined experience in design and usability, 146 offer a full and bespoke web design, marketing, SEO and IT support service to customers.

We work and believe in the following principles:

  • Anyone charging 'by the page' should get back to their bedroom!
  • Any design company not offering full CMS for all sites are ripping people off!
  • Customers should not be charged for modifying their own site. Build it right and the web developer should only be there for support!
  • Usability is the key
  • Don't make your sites too 'deep'
  • The designers job is to assist the customer, not dictate...

Background:

Our developers were among the team that started First4Farming  in 2000, and is now the largest electronic agricultural Business to Business trading community in the world. It operates internationally, across three continents from its base in Cheshire, in the United Kingdom.

From its inception in 2000 to the current day the company has grown consistently and now has over 600 customers linked to its e-hub allowing the system to system exchange of for example contracts, orders, call offs, despatch notes, invoices, inventory data plus other data that assists the efficiency of the agri-supply chain.

Today our trading hub exchanges millions of business documents each year and has increased efficiency dramatically for all trading partners involved.
While the original business was mainly focused on the agricultural industry, 146webdesign was set up to enable us to supply more varied businesses and areas.

146webdesign has now moved its core business to Torrington in North Devon although we still have a development team based in Heathrow and is building websites for all types of business. Please take a look at our portfolio for more information.

We are fast becoming PHP / Joomla specialists with bespoke functionality written to satisfy our customers demands including real time account data incorporated into a joomla site as well as a bespoke file sharing module that allows users to send files securely to individuals or groups.
